Redwood Reserves CBD Hemp Flower Cigarettes Review

In this review, we took a look at the Redwood Reserves CBD Hemp Flower Cigarettes to see how they perform; the results we found were pleasantly surprising.

Redwood Reserves hemp flower cigarettes are high-grade products featuring slow-cured hemp flower rather than the biomass that is generally included in cheaper CBD smokables. The cost of Redwood Reserve cigarettes is slightly higher than others, but the price is worth it for the quality.

Based on our experience, these cigarettes are a definite win, but that doesn’t mean they will be for everyone. What works for you and what doesn’t depends on your needs, goals, and personal preferences. To find out more about how the specifics of Redwood Reserve CBD hemp flower cigarettes break down and make a decision that works for you, read on!

Redwood Reserves Company Overview

Redwood Reserves is a family-owned hemp flower brand based out of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Grown with only the sun, water, and the rich soil of the Willamette Valley, they offer seed-to-smoke products that focus on taste as well as CBD content.

As some of the best growers in the hemp business, they produce clean, high-quality products by employing the latest technologies available, avoiding harmful chemicals, and tapping into a vast knowledge base that can only be obtained from years of hands-on experience.

On top of the work they do in the hemp industry, this little family-owned farm doubles as a rescue for animals in need of a loving home. From cows to alpacas to chickens to horses, they don’t discriminate and will happily take in any creature in need.

With a unique selection of hemp smokables to show for it, Redwood Reserves has established itself as a reputable brand in this fast-growing industry.

Redwood Reserves CBD Cigarettes at a Glance

Redwood Reserves CBD Cigarettes are available in singles, standard packs (20 pcs), and cartons (10 packs), and come in original or menthol flavors.

The product features a rugged design that gives off a natural feel and sends your mind wandering straight to the mountains. The packaging itself is thoughtfully designed with trees and other graphics that are raised to the touch, a little extra detail which gives it that something to set them apart from the competition.

Just like conventional cigarettes, each pack comes wrapped in cellophane, and when you open the packaging the cigarettes are covered in a layer of foil for added protection.

The cigarettes themselves are made with traditional white cigarette paper and are packed to the tip with lush green hemp flower.

The original flavor comes with a silver stripe on the filter and the menthol comes with a green stripe, as well as a small crush pod in the filter similar to those found in Camel Crushes.

The original flavor contains between 80-100mg of CBD per cigarette and the menthol flavor contains approximately 60mg per cigarette. Though we’re not sure why there’s a difference in CBD content, it’s definitely something to keep in mind when purchasing.

Redwood Reserves CBD Cigarette Quality

According to Redwood Reserves, their products are rolled using only naturally- and sun-grown CBD flower that is slow cured to maximize its flavor and create a heightened experience.

By combining three unique strains — Golden Redwood, Carolina Dream, and Wild Bourbon — into one for these cigarettes, they’ve created a soothing blend of high-quality hemp flower with a broad terpene profile that creates a one-of-a-kind experience.

All the flower is sent to a third-party testing facility called Confident Cannabis to ensure quality and compliance before it is used to create batches of cigarettes.

Unlike most companies that use low quality shake or biomass to increase profits, Redwood Reserves sticks to high-quality hemp and prides itself in producing some of the highest quality hemp flower cigarettes available on the market today.

All of their flower is grown in-house on their small family farm located in Oregon, which ensures that they have complete control over every factor of the production process from seed to smoke.

This is very rare in the hemp industry and allows them to stay miles ahead of the competition.

Redwood Reserves CBD Cigarette Flavor

Redwood Reserves are available in two flavors: Original & Menthol. Below, we’ve listed a general flavor profile for each based on our own opinions so you can get a sense of what to expect.

Unflavored – Features a smooth hemp/cannabis flavor with an even blend of a conventional cigarette. The cigarette flavor isn’t overpowering, but it’s definitely noticeable, so keep that in mind when purchasing.

Menthol –Features a strong menthol flavor mixed with a hint of hemp/cannabis. The “crush” pod provides a very intense menthol flavor comparable to Camel Crushes that overpowers most of the natural hemp.

Redwood Reserves CBD Cigarettes Price vs Value

CBD hemp flower cigarettes are usually priced between $5.99-$19.99, with the majority of brands falling in the $10 range. As with any other product, there are many different factors that go into the pricing, and you get what you pay for.

Redwood Reserves CBD hemp flower cigarettes fall perfectly in the middle of this price range, and from personal experience, are levels above the competition when it comes to quality.

While it’s certainly possible to find cheaper brands that are under $10 per pack, you’re going to get what you pay for: they’ll most likely be filled with low-quality biomass or mass-produced flower that just can’t compete with something like a Redwood Reserves cigarette.

Redwood Reserves Company Reputation

Redwood Reserves has really made a name for themselves over the past year by sticking to their motto, “farmer owned & Oregon grown.” They focus on creating CBD flower products that are sustainably grown and slow cured for a top-shelf CBD experience.

With such a focus on quality, it’s no surprise that their product line is littered with nothing but five-star reviews. Whether you’re looking for CBD flower, prerolls, dabs, or cigarettes, you’ll find verified reviews to give you all the insight you need before making a purchase.

In an industry overflowing with massive companies just trying to make a buck, it’s always nice to find a small business that cares about its customers and goes the extra mile to make sure each transaction is a positive one.

There’s nothing better than knowing the products you’re buying are coming from a small, sustainable, family-owned farm that controls every part of the production process and doesn’t cut corners.

Final Thoughts

Overall, we’re extremely impressed with Redwood Reserves CBD hemp flower cigarettes and after this experience. They are without a doubt some of the best hemp flower cigarettes we’ve come across to date.

The quality is second to none, the branding is creative and unique, and the company itself is as solid as they come. Knowing that they’re a family-owned farm that doubles as an animal rescue is a bonus that makes shopping with the brand even more rewarding.

One thing that should be noted is that they do have a conventional cigarette flavor, so if you’re looking for more of an herbal smoke, we’d recommend skipping these and going with hemp flower prerolls instead.

After a thorough review of this product, we fully stand behind it and Redwood Reserves. We highly recommend it to anyone shopping for CBD cigarettes.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How does CBD make you feel?

For many individuals, CBD benefits in the realm of mood can include feelings of calm, easing of stress, increased euphoria, and better focus. CBD can also make some individuals sleepy, especially if they are using CBD for sleep to help treat nighttime anxiety or sleep disturbances.

Beyond that, CBD’s effect is not particularly strong or potent. It cannot cause strong feelings of anxiety or paranoia, since CBD products are very low in THC content. CBD can also not cause any “high” feelings or distort your perception, as it is not psychoactive, unlike marijuana.

Some individuals report feeling nothing upon taking CBD, but it is likely that they are using doses that are too low for them. CBD can be difficult to dose, especially since CBD content can differ drastically between products. However, it’s always best to start low and continually work your way up until you’re experiencing the effects you’re looking for.

Is it legal to smoke CBD?

The answer is yes, generally — however, there are some asterisks to this answer. CBD is federally legal across the U.S., but of course, some states may have differing laws regarding CBD, or they may have particular bans against certain forms of CBD being bought and sold.

Smoking CBD should not get you into trouble if you do it in the privacy of your own home. However, it should be noted that CBD smells remarkably similar to marijuana when it is smoked, which may still be illegal in your state. This confusion can cause trouble for some individuals, as many law enforcement officials are not trained in identifying CBD.

When in doubt, try to keep the original packaging for your product on you so you can always clarify that you are not smoking marijuana. Avoid travelling with loose CBD flower, as the resemblance to marijuana can be an issue when leaving or entering countries.

Can CBD help with anxiety?

There is some evidence in the clinical research on CBD that suggests it may someday be able to act as an alternative medication for anxiety disorders. In some trials looking to treat anxiety and anxiety-related disorders, CBD was shown to be able to act as a natural anxiolytic with very few side effects. Many clinical reviews published in the past several years have concluded that CBD has a great deal of potential in future psychiatry due to this attribute.

More anecdotally, however, many individuals have reported very positive long-term experiences with taking CBD for anxiety. For some, taking CBD everyday has changed their responses to things in the world and has been able to ease their stress and prevent chronic worry and rumination.

Do Redwood Reserves get you high?

No, Redwood Reserves will not get you high. That’s because the filling inside of each cigarette is hemp, not marijuana, and contains very little to no THC.

THC is the cannabinoid responsible for producing psychoactive effects – AKA, a high – and is naturally present in high levels in marijuana. Though marijuana and hemp are both types of cannabis, they differ fundamentally in this way.

CBD, a separate cannabinoid, is present in both hemp and marijuana. Because hemp delivers CBD without THC, it can produce therapeutic effects without causing impairment.

This reality is largely why hemp has become legal and why CBD continues to become an increasingly popular treatment option; it offers natural benefits without drawbacks.

Are Redwood Reserves sold in stores?

Redwood Reserves are sold via the brand’s website, but some in-person stores or third parties may offer specific sellers and their products.

In general, though, it’s best to buy from the source. That way you know exactly what you’re getting and from where, especially given the extensive opportunities to contact the seller if you are unhappy with your product.

Josh Murdoch

I was born with Cystic Fibrosis, and although it is incurable, cannabinoids have been allowing me to live my life as a healthy adult now for years. For that reason, I’ve dedicated my career to spreading the good news about cannabinoids. Currently, I work for a cannabis distribution company called Humble Cannabis Solutions which operates in California. Previously, I worked on two cannabis farms in northern California, one of which was located in the famous Humboldt County. I’ve also managed a medical cannabis delivery service in Marin County, California. I created CBD Facilitator to share what I’ve learned, and to recommend the best products that I have found in this chaotic market.
